Job Requirements
Minimum & Additional Requirements
-High School Diploma or GED or Six months of work or volunteer experience in a front desk, reception, retail, or recreation environment; Computer
database or point-of-sale system experience. First Aid training; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the
required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with participants and the public; ability to establish and maintain effective
working relationships with program participants and staff; and the ability to assist others in the accomplishment of the overall goals of the
recreation center/program to which assigned and of the Department. In addition to speaking, reading and writing in English, the ability to speak a
second language (Spanish or Amharic).
-At least 18 years old; available to work varying shifts including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays; able to work with
long periods of speaking, sitting, standing, and exposure to a loud, fast-paced, indoor or outdoor environment with varying weather.
