The Ideal Candidate
To be minimally qualified for this position all applicants must have an High School Diploma or GED ; and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
To be considered an ideal candidate, applicants must possess the above as well as: excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written); case management experience; experience working with electronic medical record and scheduling systems (will be trained on using PrepMod, Virginia Immunization Information System, and an internal appointment making system); proficiency in working with databases including a moderate proficiency in Excel (will work with Excel, RedCap, and a Virginia pre-registration database); highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to understand and carry out complex processes and tasks; ability to problem-solve independently; and a desire to make a positive difference.

Alexandria Health Department (AHD) is one of 35 health districts in Virginia. *Please note this is a 90 day temporary position with the possibility of an extension.
Hours: Hours: 8-5:00 M-F, possibility of option for weekend work. The ideal candidate is willing to work additional hours when needed to complete tasks.
Location: primarily on site, with occasional telework possible pending probationary period
