Ideal for an experienced manager seeking growth and a strong, collaborative culture

 

We're searching for an experienced, proactive Assistant General Manager who would enjoy work in an fast-paced, high-volume, full service environment. The Assistant General Manager will ensure that all guests are receiving exceptional service, food and drinks, and have responsibility for a particular area of the restaurant (e.g. bar, barista/bakery, host). You will also assist with other manager responsibilities including hiring and training, managing inventory and resources, ensuring that quality and safety controls are followed, creating schedules, payroll and invoicing. You'll also be able to work with diverse personalities and be skilled at problem-solving on the fly.

Ted's Bulletin is focused on providing craveable American cuisine and exceptional hospitality in a nostalgic environment. We're known for our Ted's tarts, boozy milkshakes and all-day breakfasts, and have some of the best hours in the industry (no super late nights!). We're going through an exciting stage in our growth, including some exciting innovations to our menu and our overall brand.

Job Requirements
In order to succeed as a Assistant General Manager at Ted's, you should be observant and have the ability to think critically and efficiently. You should be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observation, and interpersonal skills. In particular, you will need:

Management experience in a high-volume, full service environment - we're looking for someone who has been an Assistant GM or FOH Manager in a similar concept and is nearly ready to become a GM, or who has been a GM but is willing to start out as an assistant manager while you learn our specific business
strong understanding of business management and restaurant accounting principles
excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
the ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts
willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
the ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources
proven ability to motivate, coach and develop team members including junior managers
decisiveness
the ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, busy environment
