Agile Business/Data Analyst to assist in activities supporting a government client. Must have excellent communication and writing skills, ideally as a Business/Data Analyst on an agile software development team. Responsibilities include working closely with Product Owners to eliciting requirements for user stories, communicating with the development team to clarify requirements for software features and modifications, tracking requirements to completion, and creating documentation according to business best practices. The ideal candidate will have approximately 7 plus years of Systems Analysis and Data analysis experience. Experience with Microsoft tools such as Power BI, Excel would be helpful.


  • Ability to bridge the gap between the Product Owner, end-users and agile developers.
  • Elicit requirements from the Product Owner, end users, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish a technical vision
  • Be able to analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Provide a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Ability to elicit, draft, prioritize and track user stories to completion.
  • Be actively involved in agile team test-driven design activities.
  • Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
  • Utilize interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, workflow scenarios, business analysis, and task analysis.
  • Lead business case development, cost-benefit analyses, dependency and risk analysis.
  • Assist with Agile team efforts in software design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration management, and documentation.
  • Create and present metric reports for the designated region and/or function.
  • Conduct data analysis to examine data sets to draw conclusions about the information contained therein.
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  • Handle approved requests for data audits, metrics and report generation.
  • Draft data queries, reports and metrics and obtain approvals prior to publishing.
  • Utilize structured analytic techniques to develop tailored data products.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technically-oriented degree or business degree.
7+ years of systems and data analysis experience for medium to complex-sized projects.
Demonstrated success working in agile team environment.
Must be self-managing, highly motivated and have a strong commitment to quality.
Ability to comprehend and breakdown complex business concepts quickly.
Able to take creative approaches to solving challenging problems in a collaborative setting.
Professional presentation and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
Strong understanding of business processes and customer service issues.
3+ years’ experience working with Product Owners and Agile developer in the process of defining user needs, documenting user stories, evaluating test scenarios, and validating software releases involving new features or enhancements to existing software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong project management and budgeting skills.
Computer skills; Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio, SQL

Must be able to pass public trust government clearance

US Citizenship is required for Public Trust Clearance

Must have the ability to work 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
