Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Finance position is a dynamic role on the NBC/Telemundo Finance team that will play a key role in ensuring strong controllership, driving operational excellence and supporting new growth opportunities. This role will work closely with financial and operational leadership and have exposure to all aspects of the business. Primary responsibilities include oversight of WRC’s P&L (revenue and multiple department expenses) and Balance Sheet, monthly closing activities, quarterly forecasting, and oversight of the annual budget process. It will also serve as the lead FP&A position for WRC, and three Telemundo stations (WZDC, WRTD and WZTD).

Job Duties
• Support monthly/ quarterly close processes through accurate pacing updates, G/L journal entries, variance analysis, standard reporting packages and balance sheet account reconciliations

• Manage all aspects of the Station’s monthly and quarterly financial closes, including the preparation and accuracy of the station’s financial statements and related reporting requirements

• Partner with and assist Sales to properly record monthly revenue and forecast/ analyze market trends and impact on associated revenue

• Assist in the development and preparation of the annual business plan, including designing the final senior management presentation

• Partner with department heads to develop and adhere to annual expense budgets and collaborate on operational analyses to drive process improvements and station growth

• Recommend operational and cost synergies between business units

• Foster relationships with other finance teams throughout NBCU, as well as key operational leaders throughout the organization

• Develop dashboards for T&E reporting, wireless usage, and departmental credit card spend

• Manage headcount tracking and reporting

• Act as the station’s liaison with other NBC/TLMD divisions on a variety of administrative and financial matters

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible Finance experience with both revenue and expenses
• Strong Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc.) and strong PowerPoint skills
